SkootEco is a profitable, Certified B Corporation. The platform is built and the pilot goes live in November. We are raising £1.1M to take it to market, on one platform for SMEs, venues and large operators.

The Problem
SMEs are being pulled into carbon reporting by their customers
The request arrives through procurement and supplier questionnaires. Most SMEs cannot answer it, and three dated standards now set what they must produce.
Feb 2027
SBTi Net-Zero Standard V2.0
Validations open February 2027 and it is required for new targets from February 2028. Transition plans are optional for smaller companies, but buyers ask suppliers for them.
July 2026
The Voluntary Standard (Europe)
Adopted on 3 July 2026. Companies under 1,000 employees may refuse requests beyond it, so bespoke questionnaires give way to one specification from 2027.
In force
PPN 006 (UK)
A carbon reduction plan to bid for central government contracts above £5M a year. The NHS applies a lighter version below that, but suppliers still need their full baseline.

Consultants charge £895 to £3,995 per report. Spreadsheets cannot show their working when procurement checks. Both of today's options fail.

SkootEco AI
Measure, Avoid, Reduce, Counter, with a human in the loop
Our framework mirrors the sequence ISO 14068-1 requires: you cannot credibly counter emissions you have not first measured and reduced. Three products are built and being tested ahead of the November pilot: SkootCommute, the MARC Baseline and the Carbon Reduction Plan.
M
Measure
Full baseline across all three scopes. GHG Protocol boundaries, DEFRA factors, all fifteen Scope 3 categories screened.
A
Avoid
Cut out emissions that don't need to happen at all, such as unnecessary travel or waste, before planning reductions.
R
Reduce
Sector-specific reduction pathway and a board-approved transition plan aligned to SBTi.
C
Counter
Residuals matched to verified credits from our own supply, with retirement evidence.
Govern, the fifth workspace
Board packs, policy registers, resolutions and the audit trail behind every figure. This is what a procurement team actually asks for, and what brings a customer back next year.
No report type ships without expert sign-off
Dr Naomi Marden, Head of Operations, holds sign-off authority over methodology and claims content across the platform. No new report type, factor set or claim template reaches a customer without passing that gate.
Business Model
Free to start, paid by the report, subscribed by size
Compliance spend is event-driven, so customers enter free, pay when a need arises, and subscribe once the needs repeat. Subscription pricing scales with turnover.

Routes to Market
One engine, three routes
SMEs direct, venues through IACC, and large operators through IACC and direct: one platform, one methodology and one carbon supply.
SMEs direct
c.1,050
SkootEco AI subscribers in the 2030 forecast, at an average of £249 a month across turnover bands.
Venues through IACC
400
Member venues in 17 countries. IACC has endorsed SkootEco and opened its member network to us, with each venue choosing whether to adopt. County Hall in London goes live first, in November, and every event there is quoted with countering included unless the booker opts out.
Enterprise licences
$75K
Expected average licence, from $50K per revenue stream per year. We are in discussion with a US-listed hospitality group across its 11 revenue streams; no licence is signed yet. The forecast has 34 licences by 2030.
Financials
£7.4M revenue and £3.75M EBITDA by 2030
SkootEco delivered its first profitable quarter in Q2 2026, on a cost base restructured over the last two years. The platform accelerates a trading business with four revenue lines; it doesn't replace it.

Includes a Good Energy renewal at a third of the last contract (assumed, subject to procurement) and enterprise licences on today's engine, with no grant. Downside case (no Good Energy renewal, half the SME additions, enterprise six months later): £5.7M revenue and £2.2M EBITDA in 2030, with no extra funding needed. The forecast assumes 2% monthly subscriber churn (about 21% a year). It is before founders' rates for the first 50 subscribers, an estimated cost of about £50K in 2027, and excludes report-only sales and subscriber countering.
The Investment
£1.1M funds the year we go to market
The platform is built and was paid for out of trading profit. This raise puts a quarter into winning customers in 2027, holds about £250,000 in reserve, and the business stays EBITDA positive throughout.
